Dining on American-Asian Cuisine @ Chili Bar and Grill

Christmas was just around the corner. This meant we had to prepare for the family activities for the season. We decided to meet in SM Megamall because it was the midpoint for us. My side of the family comes from Laguna, my sister and her family is from Cainta and my brother’s family comes from Quezon City. To spice up our meeting, we had lunch at Chili’s for an American-Asian cuisine.

Because I was on a perpetual diet, I ordered the ‘Healthy Option Grilled Chicken Platter’ which included grilled chicken breast with cilantro rice and steamed fresh veggies with Parmesan cheese for ₱300.00 (below). Indeed, this dish satisfied my hungry cravings and my calorie intake requirement. The flavor was just right and not so overpowering.

My sister had this ‘Blackened Fish Fillet’ which was fish fillet dredged in peppercorn spice, topped with pico de gallo and drizzled with ancho-chile ranch dressing (below). This was also served with black beans and cilantro rice for ₱395.00.

We also ordered ‘Crispy Chicken Salad’ which included crispy chicken breast with Mandarin oranges, carrots, water chestnuts, red-bell peppers, toasted almonds and crispy rice noodles served with Mandarin sesame-ginger dressing for ₱295.00.

Chili’s also serves dishes ‘Just for Kids’. So we ordered Little Chicken Crispers and Fries (₱190.00) and Kid Combo Little Chicken crisper and spaghetti (₱265) for the kids, which, they surprisingly, finished. Because these kids are, usually, picky eaters.

The others ordered burgers and some cold juices and tea. This food adventure was special because we were able to bond with family. Admittedly, we had to transfer to a quieter place to finish the agenda for our yuletide meeting. However, I recommend dining in Chilis’s Bar and restaurant for their authentic American/Asian cuisine.
